Matthew Bryan Mills Death & Obituary: Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash on Friday night in Northport as Matthew Bryan Mills, 39, of Tuscaloosa. The tragic incident occurred at approximately 8:17 p.m. on March 15, 2025, in the 3100 block of McFarland Boulevard.

Details of the Crash

According to Assistant Police Chief Keith Carpenter, Mills was riding a 2015 Yamaha Striker motorcycle, traveling westbound on McFarland Boulevard. As Mills was approaching a 2003 Jeep Liberty, the motorcycle collided with the rear of the vehicle. Emergency responders, including Northport Police, Northport Fire and Rescue, and NorthStar Ambulance, quickly arrived on the scene and transported Mills to a local hospital. Despite efforts to save him, Mills later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigation and No Criminal Charges Pending

The Northport Police Department’s Traffic Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. Authorities have confirmed that no criminal charges are pending at this time.
