What Happened?
The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Jane Doe was found fatally shot inside a residence in the 700 block of W. Turner Street. Emergency responders arrived shortly after 6:00 a.m., and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the shooting occurred around 4:15 a.m..
Investigation and Arrest
The case is currently under active investigation by the Allentown Police Department, the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, and the Coroner’s Office.
A forensic autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, July 23, to officially determine the cause and manner of death.
