According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash unfolded when 92-year-old Owen Stepp, of Sarver, attempted to pull out from Burtner Road onto Route 356. In doing so, he entered the path of an oncoming vehicle driven by 50-year-old Thomas Paserba of Aspinwall. Despite Paserba’s efforts to swerve and avoid the impact, the two vehicles collided with devastating force.
Bachman, a passenger in Stepp’s car, suffered severe injuries and was rushed to a local medical facility, where she tragically succumbed to her wounds. Stepp was also transported to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment, though details regarding his condition remain unknown.
