She dedicated over 20 years to serving the students and staff at William Tell Elementary School, where her warm smile and caring nature made a lasting impact. Brenda took immense pride in her work, ensuring that every child received a nutritious meal in a welcoming environment.
Beyond her role at the school, Brenda was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, volunteering for numerous events and programs. She also devoted her time to the local food pantry, helping those in need and strengthening her community through acts of kindness.

Brenda’s passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of her loved ones. She is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, Michael Henson; her children, Sarah (David) Mitchell of Evansville, Indiana, and Brian (Emily) Henson of Louisville, Kentucky; and three adored grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Linda (Mark) Thompson of Tell City, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements and Memorial Contributions
Visitation will take place on March 25, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Huber Funeral Home in Tell City. A funeral service celebrating Brenda’s life will be held on March 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor James Smith. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the William Tell Elementary School cafeteria fund or the local food pantry, honoring Brenda’s dedication to her community.
